Flutist to Perform in Jazz Poetry Bash Tomorrow

Galen Razzaq, a talented flutist who has performed nationally and internationally for more than 30 years, will perform a Jazz Poetry Bash tomorrow in the Bistro starting at 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all George Mason students, staff, faculty, community, and guests.

A former student of the Berklee College of Music, Boston, and a graduate of Rutgers University, Razzaq holds a master’s degree in fine arts and education. He is an arranger, composer, director, educator, and writer, and has an extensive recording career.

Because of his intellectually stimulating lectures and powerful jazz performances, Razzaq is considered one of the country’s most popular artists on university and college campuses.
