“Exercise, Nutrition, and the Environmental Effects on Disease and Aging” is the topic of the next Old Town Hall Lecture on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. Fred Schack, associate professor, School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism, is the featured speaker.

Schack will talk about exercise and nutrition, which can have a significant effect on the disease and aging processes, and when applied appropriately, often can extend and enhance life. Environmental influence—in particular, toxic products used in the home for laundry, household cleaning, and personal care—have a significant effect on the body.

The lecture is held on the second floor of Old Town Hall, at the corner of University Drive and Main Street in the City of Fairfax. It is free and open to the public, and refreshments are provided. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of University Drive and North Street. For more information, call Traci Claar at 703-993-8846.
