“Trends in Electronic Portfolio Initiatives” is the topic of the next program in the Fall 2004 Faculty Showcase sponsored by the Center for Teaching Excellence and DoIT’s Instructional Resource Center. The talk is tomorrow from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Innovation Hall, Room 334.
Lesley Smith and Darren Cambridge, New Century College (NCC), will explain how electronic portfolios are powerful tools for promoting and assessing learning and showcasing achievement. Smith will discuss the role of portfolios at NCC and share how those practices might be adapted to other programs across the curriculum. Cambridge will explore how the work at Mason connects with national and international projects such as the Open Source Portfolio Initiative, the Electronic Portfolio Action Committee, eFolio Minnesota, and the IMS Global Learning Consortium ePortfolio specification.
