Virginia’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network, a part of the Mason Enterprise Center (MEC) at George Mason, will host “Selling to Virginia: Opportunities for Success” tomorrow in the Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall.

The SBDC network is a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration, local sponsors, and the MEC. As part of the MEC, the SBDC offers customized, professional counseling and training assistance for small business owners and entrepreneurs competing in the commercial marketplace.

The half-day seminar, which aims to educate small businesses owned by women and minorities about new opportunities to sell goods and services to the Commonwealth of Virginia and local governments, will also include new information about the procurement and business certification process. Businesses will also have the opportunity to meet with purchasing officers from several state and local agencies.
