Poet Kathleen Peirce Reads as Visiting Writer

Poet Kathleen Peirce will give a reading Wednesday, Oct. 20, as part of the Visiting Writers program sponsored by the Master of Fine Arts Program in Writing. The reading will begin at 8 p.m. in Grand Tier III of the Center for the Arts and is free and open to the community.
Peirce is the author of four collections of poetry: Mercy, which won the Associated Writing Programs Prize; Divided Touch, Divided Color; The Oval Hour, which won the Iowa Prize and the William Carlos Williams Award from the Poetry Society of America; and most recently, Ardors. She teaches in the MFA writing program at Texas State University.
