George Mason faculty, staff, students, and alumni are invited to participate in the Century Club of George Mason University’s annual golf tournament on Thursday, Oct. 7, at discounted rates. Nonmembers can play for $45, while those affiliated with Mason pay only $30. Today is the deadline to register.
“This tournament provides a fun forum for business-university connections,” says Erik Ayers, Century Club president and PricewaterhouseCoopers director. “We’re proud to have the School of Management on board this year as a Silver Sponsor and look forward to players participating from the Provost’s Office, the School of Information Technology and Engineering, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Human Development, and the Mason Enterprise Center. No other tournament is focused on George Mason the way ours is.”
Proceeds from the Beat the Pro contest will be offered as a scholarship to a needy student on campus. Several prizes will be awarded, including a Humvee, an overnight stay at the Marriott, and golf clubs. Last year’s tournament winner, the National Center for Technology and Law, is also a sponsor.
The tournament begins at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Golfers Club in Chantilly, Va. See the web site for more information.
