Professor Mark Katz, Public and International Affairs, will present preliminary findings from his new research project on Central Asia in a talk titled “Will There Be Revolution in Central Asia?” The event takes place tomorrow from noon to 2 p.m. in Mason Hall, Room D5. For more information, call 703-993-8770 or see the Global Affairs Program web site.
Central Asia is a focus for George Mason faculty this year and next. The theme brings together faculty from a range of departments and programs—Global Affairs, History and Art History, Modern and Classical Languages, Public and International Affairs, Russian Studies, Islamic Studies, Center for Asia Pacific Cooperation, and Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution—to discuss topics of global and regional interest and possible curricular offerings. The initiative is funded by a Department of Education grant.
