University Administrators Visit from Bosnia-Herzegovina

A group of six university administrators from Bosnia-Herzegovina visited George Mason yesterday as part of a U.S. Department of State-sponsored program to learn about university administration and university relations in the United States.

The administrators met with Alan Merten, president; Peter Stearns, provost; Maurice Scherrens, senior vice president; Thomas Hennessey, chief of staff, and Helen Ackerman, vice president for university relations. “They were interested in understanding the university’s structure and how we work with various external constituencies,” says Hennessey.

The visitors were Dorde Marajanovic, international relations officer, University of Banja Luka; Adisa Omeragic, senior officer, Scientific Research Affairs Office, University of Tuzia; Denisa Seho, international relations coordinator, University of Bihac; Zoran Seleskovic, secretary general, University of Sarajevo; Edina Spago, international relations officer, Dzemal Bijedic University, Mostar; and Ljiljana Sulentic, coordinator, International Cooperation, University of Sarajevo.
