George Mason will hold a town hall meeting at the Fairfax Campus in the Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to discuss the university’s 2010 plan.

According to Provost Peter Stearns, who will host the event with Senior Vice President Maurice Scherrens, “this is a chance for the entire Mason community, particularly the faculty, to have their say about the plans for the university’s future. The town hall format will allow faculty and staff members to learn more about the different plans, ask questions, and make comments.”

Due to time constraints, the individual deans and vice presidents will not be able to present their own plans. Instead, Stearns will offer a presentation on the academic plans for 2010, and Scherrens will make a presentation for the administrative side. The deans and vice presidents will be in attendance to answer specific questions about their areas.
