  • Aug. 3—Stephen Ruth, School of Public Policy, presented “Can Technology Alleviate Poverty? A Practical Perspective” for the Rotary Club of Burke.

  • Aug. 3— Michael Fauntroy, School of Public Policy, presented “African Americans and the Grand Old Party: Why Won’t They Dance Together?” for the Optimist Club of Alexandria.

  • Aug. 12—David Rine, Computer Science, presented “Object Oriented Modeling and Design” for Datatel, Inc.

  • Aug. 20—Robert Rogowsky, School of Public Policy, presented “Getting to Happy: Seven Practical Steps to a Happier and More Contented Life” for Fairfax County Government employees.
