Administration

Rey Banks is the new public relations coordinator in Media Relations. She previously worked as a media relations contact/public information officer for former Virginia Lt. Gov. Don Beyer.

Jamie Coniglio is the new head of the Reference Department in Fenwick Library.

Fran Herrity, former associate dean of admissions, director of operations, and chief transfer officer in Admissions, is now student advisement and admissions officer, Prince William Campus Admissions and Student Academic Affairs and Advising.

Sandra Hubler is the new vice president for university life. She was formerly vice president for student affairs and enrollment at Menlo College in California.

Patty Snellings, former public relations coordinator in Media Relations, is now director of communications, Prince William Campus Administration.

School of Information Technology and Engineering

Stephanie Galloway is the new director of graduate admissions. She will be working closely with corporations who hire IT&E students and will recruit graduate students into IT&E programs. Formerly, she was a software applications consultant at Datatel in Fairfax, Va.

Jennifer Lamb, the new director of development, was formerly campaign director at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

School of Law

Mark Grady, former dean, is leaving the law school and going to the University of California, Los Angeles, to teach.

Paul Haas has joined the Law Library as research services librarian.

Charles Keckler has joined the law faculty as professor of law.

Bruce Kobayashi will serve as associate dean of academic affairs.

Johanna Marroig has joined the dean’s office as executive assistant.

Darlene Montgomery has joined the Law Library as administrative assistant.

Tim Muris, former chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, is returning to the law faculty.

Rusty O’Connor has joined the dean’s office as executive assistant.

Stephen Parr will serve as associate dean of management and finance.

Daniel Polsby will serve as acting dean until a new dean is named.

Donna Sneed is the new director of communications and marketing.

Joshua Wright has joined the law faculty as professor of law.

School of Public Policy

Amr Abdalla, a senior fellow with the Peace Operations Policy Program, accepted a position at the United Nations’ University for Peace as professor and dean of Academic Programs. During his 15 years at George Mason, he earned an MA in Sociology and a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Abdalla will assume his new responsibilities in late August, and his new e-mail address will be aabdalla@upeace.org.

David Hart has joined the faculty as associate professor.

Daniel Robb is the new director of marketing and enrollment services based at the Arlington Campus.

Mark Rozell, formerly of Catholic University, has joined the faculty as professor of public policy and director of the Master’s in Public Policy Program at the Arlington Campus.
