Office of Continuing Professional Education Unveils New Certificate Programs

George Mason’s Office of Continuing Professional Education (OCPE) is offering two new certificate programs for working professionals this fall.
The Payroll Professional Certificate, offered in cooperation with the American Payroll Association, will comprise three distinct courses: primary payroll skills, essential payroll skills, and advanced payroll skills. The program is intended for individuals preparing for the national Certified Payroll Professional examination.
The Certified Management Accountant, offered in cooperation with the Institute of Management Accountants, will prepare individuals for the Certified Management Accountant certification exam. This program is geared toward individuals who wish to advance their career in accounting, finance, or business management.

OCPE, based at Mason’s Fairfax Campus, with offices at the Center for Innovative Technology in Herndon, Va., responds to ongoing professional development training and educational needs of business, industry, and government. With more than 15 years of experience, OCPE facilitates a wide range of noncredit, credit, and certificate programs, as well as seminars and workshops. Classes are held in Herndon; at George Mason University’s Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William Campuses; and at business sites.
