Violinist Joan Kwuon to Appear at Center for the Arts

Violinist Joan Kwuon, a young, talented virtuoso who was hand-picked by André Previn to debut at Tanglewood in 1999, will appear at the Center for the Arts Concert Hall on Sunday, June 27, at 7 p.m.

Kwuon has already made her mark at numerous festivals and with renowned orchestras at home and abroad. She has mastered the works of Brahms, Enesco, Prokofiev, Bach, and many others in the classical repertoire. Sunday’s program includes Stravinsky’s Duo Concertante, Enesco’s Sonata for Violin and Piano no. 3 in A Minor, op. 25, Brahms’ Hungarian Dances, Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir d’un lieu cher, as well as Previn’s Tango Song and Dance.
