Claire Snyder, Public and International Affairs, was promoted to associate professor and given tenure.

Linda Rikard will direct the Division of Undergraduate Studies in Education.
Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution
Susan F. Hirsch has been appointed associate professor of conflict analysis and resolution and anthropology, and director of the undergraduate program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Previously, she taught at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., in the Department of Anthropology and the Women’s Studies Program.
Karina Korostelina has been named research professor, and she is also professor in the Psychological Department at National Taurida University, Crimea, Ukraine. She heads the Crimean Institute for Conflict Resolution and Democracy and laboratory of ethnic and social psychology.
School of Management
J.P. Auffret is directing both the Bioscience Management program and the Technology Management program.
Lynda Carmichael is the new assistant coordinator for the EMBA program.
Boris Jukic, Decision Science and Management Information Systems, accepted a position with Clarkson University.
Jennifer Kopac was named coordinator for the EMBA program.
Gopal Krishnan, Accounting, has been named Northern Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs Professor in Public Accounting, effective July 1. The professorship was established at George Mason in 1995 to enhance the collaboration of the academic and professional accounting communities in Northern Virginia.

Russ Reston, Marketing, is retiring.
John Schmidt, Management, is retiring.
Nancy Shaw Welch is leaving.
Nicole White is the new project manager for the Northrop Grumman MBA program.
George Wray, IT manager, accepted a position with the U.S. Department of Defense in Mannheim, Germany.
