Conference to Examine Cybersecurity Issues

Leading national scholars will examine the challenge of governing cybersecurity at a conference sponsored by the Critical Infrastructure Protection Project of the Tech Center, part of the School of Law. “The Law and Economics of Cybersecurity” takes place on June 11 from 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the School of Law, Arlington I Building.
Speakers will provide a diverse set of perspectives on protecting the nation’s cyber infrastructures, with discussions addressing pure market solutions, public-private issue analysis, and the governmental role. Topics include:
- National vs. international regulation
- Global cybersecurity, jurisdiction, and international organization
- A model for when disclosure helps security: what is different about computer and network security?
- The dark side of private ordering for cybersecurity
