The Northern Virginia Writing Project (NVWP) will hold its 2004 Summer Institute for middle and high school students from July 12 to 23 at George Mason. The institute is for students who want to improve their writing skills, develop their own style, and explore a variety of writing experiences with a wide range of strategies.

The cost is $375 for grades 5-10, and $415 for grades11-12. Prices include expenses for the sleepover on the first Thursday evening of the program.

Institute teachers are from Northern Virginia schools and have NVWP training. Cathy Hailey, a teacher at Woodbridge Senior High School, and Jim Andrukonis, a teacher at Frost Middle School, are the institute coordinators.
