Two students have been elected president and vice president of George Mason University’s Student Government Association for the 2004-05 academic year. They are Stephanie Sauer, 21, as president, and Mike Joyce, 20, as vice president. They are both from Virginia.

Sauer and Joyce won by only a margin of 27 votes out of 2,637 total votes cast by Mason students between April 27 and 29. They succeed Sarah Godlewski, president, and Katie Hall, vice president.

Sauer is a junior and Joyce is a sophomore. Sauer is a communications major, while Joyce majors in public administration.
