- April 1–Colleen Shogan, Public and International Affairs, presented “Recall and Initiative: Is Too Much Democracy Dangerous?” for the Westminster at Lake Ridge Retirement Community.
- April 7–Rich Miller, Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources, presented “Stress Management” for the Mariposas Mentoring Program.
- April 21–Elizabeth Chong, College of Nursing and Health Science, presented “Therapeutic Touch” for the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Manassas Chapter.
- April 29–Dan Joyce, Dance, presented “Dance as an Art Form” for the Dance Institute of Washington.
