Poet Brock-Broido Concludes Visiting Writers Series

Lucie Brock-Broido, author of three books of poetry, will read tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the SUB II Ballroom. The event is part of the Visiting Writers Series sponsored by the Creative Writing Program.

Brock-Broido’s new book of poems, Trouble in Mind, comes out this spring. Her earlier books include The Master Letters and A Hunger. Her individual poems have appeared in numerous commercial magazines and literary publications, including The New Yorker, Paris Review, Kenyon Review, and the American Poetry Review.

She is director of poetry in the School of the Arts at Columbia University. Her awards and honors include the Witter-Bynner Prize in Poetry from the Academy of American Arts and Letters and the Jerome J. Shestack Poetry Prize from American Poetry Review, plus two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships and a Guggenheim fellowship.
