George Mason University’s annual Mason Day celebration will be seeing some changes this year. Students have decided to change the traditional setting from the Quad to Parking Lot L behind the Patriot Center. Mason Day kicks off at noon today with the band Nini Camps performing on the small stage. Black Market, Honeychuck, and RPM will also perform throughout the day on the small stage. Mason competitions will be featured on the main stage. The Graham Colton Band opens at 5:15 p.m. for the day’s main performance, Guster, at 6:30 p.m.

Students will also have the chance to participate in contests sponsored by DreamWorks’ Shrek 2 and Scion. In addition, there will be a sumo wrestling ring, vendors offering food and crafts, and giveaways from WGMU and Tower Records. Student Activities is hosting a roommate rivalry where roommates challenge each other on who knows the other one better.
