WGMU wraps up its toy drive for the young patients at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children on Thursday, April 8. Donations of new toys can be placed in the red and pink boxes around campus. On Friday, members of the George Mason women’s and men’s basketball teams and WGMU staff will distribute the toys to the children at the hospital.

The theme of the drive is “Give a Child a Smile.” Only new toys for infants and young children will be accepted–and no stuffed animals. Since infants and toddlers make up a good number of children, toys for that age group will be appreciated. Art supplies are also needed for the older children.

Today, a donation box will be on a kiosk in the Johnson Center food court, where visitors will receive candy or baked goods in appreciation for their donations. Other boxes will be in the WGMU office, Room 214, and outside the Department of Communication, Room 212 in Thompson Hall, as well as in SUB I and II, Mason Hall, D217, and in the residence halls. Checks made payable to WGMU will also be accepted at the WGMU office or through campus mail (MS 4B7).
