At its meeting yesterday, the Faculty Senate voted to advise President Alan Merten of “its desire to have information on private fundraising become an integral part of the Unit Profile of each academic unit.”
The resolution specifies that the information should include the unit’s fundraising goals, the sources of the funds, the amounts, the dates of the gifts, and the purposes for which each donation will be allocated. It also requests that information on the costs associated with fundraising be listed.
Unit Profiles are posted on the Office of Institutional Research and Reporting web site.
A resolution granting emeritus professors certain rights and privileges was approved in concept but referred back to committee for rewriting and resubmission for a vote at the May meeting.
