Andrew Flagel, dean of admissions for George Mason (right), and Sidney Zullinger, superintendent of Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) signed an agreement yesterday at the Prince William Campus that will establish a high school guest scholar program. “Through the program, extraordinary students in the Manassas City school system will have the opportunity to complete a full semester of college credit before they graduate from high school,” said Flagel.
Students will take two academic courses and one transition course–for a total of 7-9 credits–each semester, in addition to completing graduation requirements. Tuition is paid by MCPS, and bus transportation to and from the campus also is arranged by the school system.
