George Mason is poised to continue its run in the National Invitation Tournament tonight when the Patriots play the University of Oregon Ducks at 11:30 p.m. in McArthur Court in Eugene, Ore. ESPN2 will broadcast the contest live.

The Patriots (23-9) have won a school-record 23 games this season and have won back-to-back postseason contests for the first time. Oregon and George Mason have never faced each other on the hardwood. The last time the Patriots played a team from the Pacific-10 (Pac-10) Conference was on Dec. 22, 1994, when UCLA downed Mason 137-100 in Los Angeles.

Fat Tuesday’s N’awlins Saloon, in the bottom level of University Mall on Braddock Road, is hosting a party at 11:30 p.m. to view the game. Specials on drinks and food will be available, and the Alumni Association also has donated goodies and prizes for the evening. All Patriots supporters over 21 are invited.
