Thanks to Broadside, the university’s student newspaper, Mason voters will have a chance to closely examine two Democratic presidential candidates, Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, this week.
As part of Broadside’s nonpartisan “One Candidate, One Vote: College Students Truly Decide,” presidential candidate forums, Edwards will make a one-hour appearance, open to the public, tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall. Tomorrow, the day of the Virginia and Tennessee Democratic presidential primaries, Kerry is scheduled to arrive at Mason in the evening and is expected to make a statement in the Johnson Center Atrium after the voting returns are in. Virginia polls close at 7 p.m. and Tennessee polls close at 8 p.m.
