Gazette Introduces Online Poll

With today’s edition, the Daily Gazette inaugurates a new feature: an online poll that lets readers indicate a preference on an issue and immediately see the tabulated results based on the votes up to that point. The poll is meant to be a fun and interactive way for Gazette readers to express their opinions; it is not meant to be a “scientific” assessment (although it is designed so that an individual can vote only once).
Today’s poll on the Virginia Democratic primary candidates, which was designed by Josh Hughes in Electronic Publications, will remain up until after the primary next Tuesday. This poll, like others that will follow, is completely voluntary and anonymous. The poll results will not be used for any other purpose, nor do the results indicate an endorsement of any kind by George Mason University.
If you have questions or comments, or if you would like to suggest a topic for a future poll, contact Robin Herron at 703-993-8804 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
