In response to recent class cancellations resulting from inclement weather, Provost Peter Stearns has approved the following for all classes except those in the School of Law:
Both the Add Period and the 0 percent Tuition Liability Period will end on Friday, Feb. 6. The 33 percent Tuition Liability Period will be extended through Friday, Feb. 13. The 67 percent Tuition Liability Period will end, as scheduled, on Feb. 20.
Make-up classes should be arranged by professors on an ad hoc basis, in consultation with departmental scheduling coordinators who will confirm classroom availability with the Registrar’s Office. With the agreement of all students in the class, professors may make up Monday evening classes on March 8, the Monday of spring break. Professors may also choose to make up Tuesday classes on May 4, the reading day before exams. These options must also be cleared through the registrar’s scheduling section by departmental scheduling coordinators. In the event of additional class cancellations resulting from inclement weather, professors and students are advised that more systematic make-up sessions may be needed.
