Faculty members are encouraged to publicize the Spring 2004 Johnson Center Cinema Film Series to their students and incorporate the movies into their courses. The Thursday evening series, coordinated by Peter Brunette, director of the Film and Media Studies Program, will begin Jan. 22 with the screening of Dirty Pretty Things.
All Thursday evening films are in English unless otherwise indicated, and are shown at 6 and 9 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema. For more information about the Thursday Evening Series, click here.
In addition, the weekend screening series will show well-received Hollywood studio films on Friday and Saturday at 6 and 9 p.m., with occasional special midnight screenings. Some upcoming screenings include Lost in Translation, Pirates of the Caribbean, Kill Bill, Mystic River, and Big Fish. More information about this series can be found here.
All movies at the Johnson Center Cinema are free to students, $1 for faculty and staff, and $3 for the outside community. The Johnson Center Cinema Series is a collaborative effort of the Program Board Film Club, Film and Media Studies Program, and Student Activities.
