George Mason faculty and staff are invited to attend a town hall meeting on wireless networking hosted by the Information Technology Unit (ITU) today from 11 a.m. to noon in Innovation Hall, Room 204.
ITU is proposing a university policy on wireless networking. The purpose of the policy, which would apply to all departments, is to bring organization and order to this rapidly developing technology. After the policy was first drafted, many faculty and staff members provided suggestions for changes, many of which are included in the current version.
The town hall will provide an opportunity for ITU staff members Randy Anderson, Derek Kan, Cathy Hubbs, and Robert Nakles to review the key concepts of the policy, and for the university community to provide feedback to the ITU on the proposal. To see the current draft of the policy, click here.
