Mason Ensemble Plays Jazz for Justice

The George Mason Jazz Ensemble, directed by James Carroll, performs in the second annual Jazz for Justice benefit concert for the Fairfax Law Foundation tonight 8 p.m. at the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. Drummer and special guest Steve Fidyk and vocalist Jessica Williams will be joining the ensemble for a jazz program that includes Henry Mancini’s “Peter Gunn,” Bill Reddie’s “Channel One Suite,” and Don Menza’s “Groovin Hard,” among other songs.

This concert will benefit the charitable endeavors of the Fairfax Law Foundation. The foundation strives to improve the public’s understanding of the justice system with educational programs and to provide greater access to the justice system with its community outreach and pro bono programs.

Tickets are on sale now at the box office and cost $7, $5 for students and senior citizens. Fifty free tickets are available to Mason students. For more information about the foundation, contact the Fairfax Bar Association at (703) 246-2740.
