Since June 2003, the largest part of the Patriot Project has been under construction, and the new Banner Student system will be implemented in time for fall 2004 registration. To help Mason faculty and students learn more about this system, three Town Hall Meetings will be held this month as follows:
- Today from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema
- Nov. 12, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room on the Arlington Campus
- Nov. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Prince William II Auditorium on the Prince William Campus
The Town Hall meetings will address the web components of the student system with a demonstration and an interactive discussion. Banner Student will allow students, faculty, and advisors to conduct much of their administrative business from standard web browsers. Faculty members will be able to post grades online and view their schedules, class lists, and wait lists. Faculty members and advisors with appropriate security will be able to view student information and student schedules and implement registration overrides.
