Six of George Mason’s 27 regular season men’s basketball games will be televised live in the mid-Atlantic region, while another two will be shown in North Carolina, giving the Patriots 8 television appearances in 2003-04. The Mason women will also have a televised contest.

As part of an agreement between the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and its television partners, six George Mason men’s and one women’s basketball game will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet (CSN) in Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania, and parts of West Virginia. CSN is available from local cable providers or through DirecTV and Dish Network.

Mason will face Maryland Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Comcast Center. The Patriots take on another Atlantic Coast Conference foe in the University of North Carolina, listed 10th in the preseason Coaches’ poll, Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. in the Dean Smith Center. Both games will also be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net South.

The Patriots will be one of the featured teams on four occasions in the SunTrust CAA Game of the Week, beginning with Mason’s Jan. 17 contest at Virginia Commonwealth University at 4 p.m. George Mason’s first home TV game occurs Saturday, Jan. 31, versus the College of William and Mary at 2 p.m. One week later, the Patriots visit James Madison University at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7. Finally, Drexel makes an appearance at the Patriot Center Saturday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. The William and Mary and James Madison contests will also be shown on the Metro Channel in New York, while the game versus Drexel will also be televised on Comcast SportsNet’s sister station in Philadelphia as well as the Metro Channel.
