Century Club Wins Hottest Friend of Entrepreneur Award

By Dominick Rubino

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) recently selected the Century Club of George Mason University Inc. for the “Hottest Friend of the Entrepreneur” award. This award commends the contributions of the Century Club to local entrepreneurs for providing its services and partnership.

The Century Club received the award for its outstanding approach in helping local companies pitch business plans to potential investors at their quarterly Grubstake Breakfast. This innovative program is a partnership activity with the School of Management, School of Information Technology and Engineering, and the Mason Enterprise Center. Five companies are selected by a Century Club Committee to present at each event.

The NVTC is the membership association for the technology community in Northern Virginia. Its annual Hot Ticket Awards honor organizations that exhibit extraordinary vision and the ability to implement and deliver innovative management approaches or star-quality charisma. More than 250 local technology executives visited this year’s award’s program, held in Herndon.

The Century Club tied with Mindshare in the Hottest Friend of the Entrepreneur category. For more information, visit the Century Club and NVTC web sites.
