Outstanding Achievement Award Nominations Due July 21

Nominations for the summer presentation of the Outstanding Achievement Awards and the 2003 Quality Customer Service Award are due in Human Resources by July 21.

The Outstanding Achievement Award is awarded for a specific accomplishment that improves processes, saves time or money, or improves customer service. It is based on sustained, long-term accomplishments within the scope of the employee’s job that benefit the department and the university. Winners receive $1,000.

The Quality Customer Service Award is presented to individuals or groups who have contributed to the enhancement of quality customer service at George Mason, such as exceptional initiative in going the extra mile to provide service to internal and external customers with timely and appropriate follow-up, resulting in demonstrated improvement of customer service and satisfaction. The amount of the award is determined by the senior vice president, and the winner’s name is inscribed on a special plaque that remains in the recipient’s department for one year.
