Traffic on the Fairfax Campus picked up yesterday with the beginning of the transfer orientation session. The event was a preview of the next two months when the Orientation Office will host George Mason’s future freshmen and transfer students.

All attending students can expect information fairs, placement testing, advising, class registration, a Patriot welcome, and family programs. Incoming students are guaranteed a good time with fun activities such as Freshman Fiesta scheduled. Students will also lean what campus services and activities are available to them, how to get involved, and where to go for advising once school is in session.

Daytime and evening sessions for transfer students will be held July 15 and July 30 with check-in beginning at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. Daytime and evening make-up sessions for transfer students will begin on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.. Two-day orientation sessions for incoming freshman will be June 19-20, June 23-24, June 26-27, July 7-8, and July 10-11 in accordance with each student’s major. Check-in for each two-day session will begin at 8:30 a.m.
