George Mason’s Office of Continuing Professional Education (OCPE) has received the 2003 Certificate of Recognition from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)and the Holmes Corp. While Mason shared the award with two other universities last year, it was the only one out of 128 schools affiliated with SHRM to earn the award this year. The award goes to the school with the largest enrollment for the Fundamentals of Human Resource Management program.
“OCPE has had a relationship with SHRM and Holmes for more than four years, and the program continues to grow every year,” says Sandra Meyers, program manager for OCPE-Herndon. “The team is proud to have won this award for the second year in a row.”
The Fundamentals of Human Resources program provides participants with a broad overview of the human resources function, covering many of today’s most pertinent human resources issues. The program is offered to Mason faculty and staff at a 50 percent discount.
