George Mason softball player Stacy James has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week. James, a sophomore shortstop, hit .500 (13 for 26) as the Patriots went 4-4 last week. She had a .692 slugging percentage with five doubles, six runs scored, two RBI, and four stolen bases.

Some of the highlights James pieced together during Mason’s eight games were a 3-for-3 day with three runs scored and an RBI in a 7-4 win over Marist, and driving in the lone run during a 1-0 decision over Central Connecticut State during Mason’s own Patriot Classic Tournament. She went 8-for-14 during the Patriot Classic, including a 5-for-6 showing on the final day of the competition.
