The Film and Media Studies program is holding a special screening tonight at 6 and 9 p.m. of the new independent film Tully. It’s a quietly moving story about a father-son relationship in rural Nebraska, told by a female first-time director, Hilary Birmingham, who also wrote the script.
The film was recently nominated for Best Picture in the Independent Spirit Awards. Birmingham will be on hand to discuss the film with the audience after the 6 p.m. screening. The event is free for students, $1 for faculty and staff, and $3 for the outside community.
