Town Meetings to Be Held on Emergency Preparedness and Safety Issues

The George Mason community is invited to attend a series of informational meetings to address emergency preparation and safety-related issues at George Mason. Speakers include Michael Lynch, police chief, and George Ginovsky, assistant chief of police, as well as Keith Bushey, chief safety officer, and Jay Cullen, emergency plans officer. The meetings will include a police briefing on university preparedness and an opportunity to discuss other concerns about the war’s impact on George Mason and its community. The meetings will be held at the following times and places:
- Monday, March 24, at the Arlington Campus in the Original Building, Room 244, from 2 to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 25, at the Fairfax Campus in Harris Theatre from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 26, at the Prince William Campus in the Verizon Auditorium from 10 to 11 a.m.
- Thursday, March 27, in Harris Theatre, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. President Alan Merten, Provost Peter Stearns, and Chief of Staff Tom Hennessey, who chairs the Crisis Committee, will also attend this meeting.
