The Multicultural Research and Resource Center has created the Patriot Volunteer Action Network (PVAN) to help the George Mason community prepare for the possible war with Iraq. The network is seeking George Mason student, faculty, and staff volunteers to provide general support and accept leadership responsibilities through facilitated dialogues.
The dialogues will provide the opportunity for George Mason community members of U.S. and international background or origin to discuss and listen to fears, frustrations, and expressed hopes related to the current political climate and its impact on campus life.
The PVAN is a resource list established on behalf of Karen Rosenblum, vice president of University Life. Preparation will be ongoing, and future dialogues will be established as the need arises. In addition to the dialogues, members of PVAN may be asked to assist with other volunteer initiatives and programs.
