Activities for Healthy Relationships Week get underway tomorrow with a healthy relationship chat in the Johnson Center Northwest Lounge on the second floor from noon to 1 p.m. The lunchtime discussion focuses on the dynamics of personal relationships.
A healthy relationship kiosk will be setup Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit Kiosk A in the Johnson Center for a free carnation and an opportunity to win a teddy bear.
On Wednesday, “The Tunnel of Oppression: From Hate to Hope” is held in the Johnson Center Dewberry Hall from 3 to 7 p.m. The program, held in conjunction with Black History Month, is a multisensory experience designed to increase awareness and sensitivity of different types of oppression and to create an understanding of the effect and organization of oppression.
In a Valentine’s Day celebration, George Mason women present a special performance of The Vagina Monologues in the Concert Hall. The play begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, with a special appearance by the Washington Freedom. Tickets are $5 for students, $20 for faculty and staff, and $25 for community members. All proceeds benefit efforts to end violence against women in the Northern Virginia region
