Taris Mullins has been named executive director of partnership development for outreach initiatives at the Prince William Campus. He has served the university as director of partnership development since mid-2000.
“The development responsibilities at the Prince William Campus, particularly those that support the exciting joint community partnerships to build a performing arts center and continue the well-respected Early Identification Program activities, coupled with recent actions generated by the university’s Diversity Advisory Board (DAB), make the change in Taris’ responsibilities and title an immediate priority,” says Larry Czarda, vice president for operations at the Prince William Campus.
In his expanded role, Mullins continues to promote university outreach activities to external communities and represents the university on the Prince William Campus Advisory Board’s subcommittee for partnership and development. He has served as the university liaison to the DAB since its inception seven years ago and works closely with board members to generate financial and in-kind support for George Mason programs.
“Taris’s assistance to me has been invaluable in developing and expanding the Prince William Campus Advisory Board,” says Executive Vice President Randall Edwards. “As we seek necessary partners and funds to support a multitude of George Mason projects, his role will underscore our commitment to the university and the surrounding communities.”
