Student Activities Announces Cinema Schedule

Members of the George Mason community interested in viewing some of the top movies from Hollywood will have the opportunity to do so beginning Jan. 23. The Student Activities office has announced the spring schedule for the Johnson Center Cinema.

Showtimes, unless otherwise noted, are on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 6 and 9 p.m. Admission is free with a valid George Mason student ID, $1 for faculty and staff members, and $3 for the public. The cinema is located on the lower level of the Johnson Center. Following is the schedule:

  • Jan. 23: Satin Rouge
  • Jan. 24-25: Igby Goes Down
  • Jan. 30: Heaven
  • Jan. 31-Feb. 1: Jackass: The Movie
  • Feb. 6 : Bowling for Columbine
  • Feb. 7-8: 8 Mile
  • Feb. 7: 8 Crazy Nights (midnight only)
  • Feb. 13: Our Song
  • Feb. 14-15: The Rules of Attraction
  • Feb. 20: Faat Kine (In French and Wolof, with English subtitles)
  • Feb. 21-22: The Ring
  • Feb. 27: The Crime of Father Amaro (In Spanish with English subtitles)
  • Feb. 28-March 1: Comedian
  • Mar. 6-7: Real Women Have Curves (Presented in conjunction with the Text and Community Program and Women’s History Month)
  • March 7: Sweet Home Alabama (midnight only)
  • Mar. 20: A Ma Soeur! (Fat Girl) (In French, with English subtitles)
  • Mar. 21-22: Frida. (Presented in conjunction with Women’s History Month)
  • Mar. 27: Tully. Director Hilary Birmingham will be present to answer questions about her film after the 6 p.m. screening.
  • March 28-29: Die Another Day
  • April 3: Far From Heaven (Presented in conjunction with Gay Pride Week)
  • April 4-5: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • April 4: Moulin Rouge (midnight only)
  • April 10-12: Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
  • April 17: Spirited Away
  • April 18-19: Catch Me if You Can
  • April 24: The Hours
  • April 25-26: To be announced
