Telephone, Voicemail Systems to Be Upgraded over Break

To accommodate the immediate and long-term growth at George Mason, the university’s telephone and voice mail systems need to be upgraded. In order to perform these upgrades the systems will have to be taken out of service periodically over the winter break. On Saturday, Dec. 21, voice mail will be unavailable for approximately eight hours. From
Dec. 26-28, the telephone system will be out of service.
Meetings with representatives of the various colleges and departments were held beginning in October and plans were developed to minimize the impact from lack of service during these time frames. Summaries of these meetings are available online.
