The Center for Global Education (CGE) holds its annual Fall Faculty Director’s Retreat on Saturday. The daylong event brings together approximately 60 faculty members from various departments who plan to lead groups of students on overseas study tours within the next year.
University experts, including those from Legal Affairs, Student Health Services, Sexual Assault Services, Risk Management, and the Office of the Registrar will bring new and experienced faculty directors up to date on the issues they’ll deal with as they design, lead, and conclude tours abroad. The seminars will address issues including health, safety, security, academic integrity, cross-cultural communications, recruiting participants, and managing group dynamics in new settings.
Provost Peter Stearns will address the participants during a Greek lunch. For more information, contact Christine Luikey Roy at (703) 993-2154 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
