CEOSR Cosponsors Scientific Meeting

The Center for Earth Observing and Space Research (CEOSR) in the School of Computational Sciences cosponsors the Chinese American Ocean-Atmosphere Association’s annual meeting on Saturday, Oct. 26. The daylong conference will be held in Enterprise Hall, Room 80.
The conference will provide a forum for discussion and networking on observations, analyses and modeling of the Earth system sciences, with emphasis on issues of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere.
Menas Kafatos, dean of the School of Computational Sciences and director of CEOSR, will speak on “Virginia Access and Mid-Atlantic Geospatial Information Consortium: Remote Sensing and GIS for Regional Applications.” Other keynote and invited speakers hail from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, McGill University, and the University of Massachusetts.
