The Arlington Small Business Development Center (SBDC), in collaboration with the Washington Emerging Technologies Center (WETC), presents a special small business innovation research workshop (SBIR) on “How to Win Contracts and Grants.” The event is held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Original Building, Room 251, at the Arlington Campus.
The seminar provides an overview of the SBIR program and information on what steps small high-technology firms need to undertake in order to win a contract or grant. All participants will receive a winning SBIR sample proposal. The presentation outline includes the SBIR program purpose, eligibility requirements, funding award phases, proposal preparation processes, business development strategies, a review of a sample funded project, and an SBIR proposal development checklist.
Registering must be done in advance by sending an e-mail, including your name and phone number, to firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost of the event is $15, which includes breakfast. Payment will be accepted at the door, and checks should be made out to WETC. For more information, contact the Arlington SBDC at (703) 993-8128.
