Men’s Basketball Team Nets Four TV Appearances

George Mason’s men’s basketball schedule has been adjusted to include four television appearances as part of the 2002-03 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) schedule. The league’s package includes all 10 CAA teams having appearances on several major networks along the East Coast from New York City to Wilmington, N.C.

The Patriots’ home game against Drexel on Saturday, Jan. 4, has been moved to 2 p.m. from its original 7 p.m. slot. The contest will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-B) and Philadelphia (CSN-P), as well as Fox SportsNet-New York (FSN-NY).

George Mason’s game at James Madison, which is slated for Saturday, Jan. 18, has also been moved to 2 p.m. The game will also be shown on CSN-B and CSN-P and FSN-NY. The Patriots swept the Dukes in 2001-02.

Back-to-back television appearances highlight the month of February as George Mason visits Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday, Feb. 8, and hosts Hofstra Thursday, Feb. 13. The Patriots vs. Rams contest can be seen on CSN-B and the Metro Channel of New York.

The Mason vs. Hofstra match at the Patriot Center will be broadcast on CSN-B and the Madison Square Garden Network. The game time has been changed from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to accommodate TV.
