Argon Engineering, a 300-employee systems engineering and development company based in Fairfax, recently joined the School of Information Technology and Engineering’s (IT&E) Corporate Partnership program, bringing the number of participating companies to six. The one-year-old program encourages industry mentoring and research collaboration among students, faculty, and industry.
The Corporate Partnership program also generates financial support for IT&E, and internship and employment opportunities for IT&E students.
“I am particularly pleased that Argon has agreed to join our school partnership. They are a relatively small-sized company, and this commitment represents a significant investment for them. Their actions are setting an outstanding standard for others to follow,” says IT&E Dean Lloyd Griffiths.
The “platinum” level contribution of $15,000 per year gives participating companies access to a full menu of options that helps them establish direct access to IT&E students, including the opportunity to attend four exclusive networking receptions throughout the year, job and internship fairs, and IT&E’s Spring Awards Banquet.
Currently, other Corporate Partnership participants are The Aerospace Corporation; Booz Allen Hamilton; Raytheon Company; TRW Inc.; and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. For more information, contact Deborah Rosenberg at firstname.lastname@example.org or (703) 993-1516.
