The School of Management has partnered with Lockheed Martin to bring the first M.B.A. program to Prince William County, housed at George Mason’s Prince William Campus. The cohort program has 22 students. Half of the students are Lockheed Martin employees and the other half are from the local community, including students who work for America Online, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the U.S. Air Force.
“It was a pleasure working with the School of Management to bring this program to Manassas,” says Ed Lewis, site education manager at Lockheed Martin. “This is a good example of businesses working with universities to address regional needs.”
The M.B.A. program consists of 48 credits. Students take a core of 11 courses and pursue a concentration in financial management, enterprise management, marketing and business development, or information systems management for the remainder of their credits. All concentrations integrate information technology, entrepreneurial thinking, and leadership development into the curriculum.
“This is part of our ongoing effort to be regionally relevant and well known nationally,” says Richard Klimoski, School of Management dean. “We are thrilled to work with Lockheed Martin and the Manassas community to bring the M.B.A to Prince William.”
